Christmas Greetings to our friends in Uganda and around the world. Thank you to the recent new sponsors, and for their Gift of Education so much appreciated by the village children in Ruhanga. Until you visit Africa and see how keen they are to learn its difficult to understand what we in the west take so much for granted. Many children will only get one small gift for Christmas if that, but all would be happy if they knew they could attend a good school next year. Do you need to find a last minute gift for someone or even an extra gift for yourself?  How about receiving a certificate that says the recipient is helping to provide a place at Ruhanga Development School in Uganda? Its £5 a month and you can choose a child here. Simply download an application form, set up a standing order, fill in the form and email it back to me. We will get the sponsorship certificate with your child’s photo out to you immediately. If its easier, you can use your ATM card to set up a regular monthly payment or make a one-off donation via BTDonate  (BT takes less Commission than Virgin or other online platforms) There are quite a number of overdue yearly renewals and recently we have had cases of banks accidentally stopping monthly payments. It will help me with the admin if you can please check yours. Many  thanks also to those who have agreed to send £5 per month or £60 each child for the year – although we will of course still accept  the previous lower amounts. It all helps us provide all the services we do for these children.  If we seem to of missed sending out  any ‘Thank You’ certificates please accept my apologies and  let me know and I will resend  but please also check your junk-mail! Our children urgently need more people to book up and visit over the coming year, as having volunteers around especially helps them with their English. Staying at Uganda Lodge  offers a reasonably priced ‘Holiday with a Difference’ for families, as well as singles and couples of all ages and Nationalities. Flights can be found at around £400 return from UK, full board accommodation is £15 per day, and we add just a small £50 project fee (unless you book quickly or have been before) Even with drinks souvenirs and a 3-day safari you wont spend much over £1,000 for 2 weeks, although 3 or 4 weeks is a  better option, as there is so much to do and see in Uganda       I will send out another update in January or early February, but please consider volunteering to do some fund-raising for us or give some help with admin and finding others to sponsor a child or two, if you can’t visit Uganda in the near future.   Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all From  Ann McCarthy & Denis Aheirwe Email Marketing Powered by MailChimp follow on Twitter | friend on Facebook | forward to a friend
