It has been a difficult 12 months for everyone but especially for many millions in Africa who, even in normal times, struggle each week to provide enough food for their families. Due to strict rules especially in the crowded cities, Covid-19 infections are very low in Uganda – in a year they have had less cases and deaths than UK had last week. In UK many children are returning to school again and so far Uganda has allowed both P7 and now P6 children to return, with the lower classes scheduled to start again in the coming weeks.

Uganda Lodge Newsletter December 2020

Christmas Greetings to all our friends and supporters of Uganda Lodge and the rural communities we help in Western Uganda.
What an unusual year 2020 has proved to be, and how badly it has affected so many of us both in the west and especially in developing countries like Uganda.
Never has there been a more important time to support our school so PLEASE SUPPORT A CHILD’S EDUCATION FOR £5/$6 a MONTH
I would be so grateful to you for taking the time to read this newsletter, and please do share it far and wide.
Firstly though, I’d like to hand over to my son Jason – who is now taking care of the challenging process of finding new volunteers.

Hello to all our Friends, Volunteers, Donors and Supporters
SORRY FOR A LONG NEWSLETTER BUT MUCH HAS HAPPENED IN THE MONTHS SINCE I LAST SENT ANY UPDATES FOR UGANDA LODGE AND FOR THAT I APOLOGISE.
I hope this finds you well wherever you are, and that you have been coping OK with your various forms of Lock Down. I was out at Uganda Lodge for four months but returned home to my family in the UK a few weeks ago on a a non-stop repatriation flight with Qatar.
